![]() You can see the name 'britain' at the top, as you also can in seraphim's images in the first post. OK, I think the image in the second post in this thread shows it best (I'm a bit biased of course ). Thanks: deltagreen, for providing me with information about the Green and Black sections. Sorry, about that, but I thought I'll let you know of my full findings nevertheless. that is the most unforunate thing in the whole thing, which means that the only things we CAN change are:Ĭampaign end year, Total number of required provinces, change specific regions to regions with same number of letters, the same applies for faction name (i'm nopt sure that wiil help someone). since that is the case, you must change the preletters and caplets of every following thing in this file, which is A LOT OF THINGS TO DO, and not doable without any tool released by CA, or a very smart person to develop a GUI application for this. The whole preletter and Caplet thing is going beyond the VC and into other stuff in the startpos.esf. this value should always be changed the the preletetr and Caplet of the red section of the last faction in the VC list. before the entry of britain's faction name, there is a preletter and a caplet whose value is CC 4D.You should write a faction's ore region's name like this: (the xx is the number of letters in the entry)Ĭode: +39(in hex!)+(2Xthe number of letters in the first entry + 7) (all of this in hex!) The Last combination is the numbers of letters in the name of the entry (bavaria - 7 letters, the combination will be 07 00) the first combination is made out of two unicode notes, the first one is still unknown to me and will be referd as "PreLetter", but the second is an hex values that i know how to determine, I will call it "CapLet". You probaly noticed the before every name you write, there's a combination of 2 hex values, followed by a fixed 3 hex values, and another two hex values which always ends with 00. I will now give an example of how it should look when you add new VC for a new faction.Īs you can see, every name must be written in unicode with a dot after every letter (including the last). ![]() now roll down until you see the following unicode string: Open the startpos.esf in the data/campaigns/main/ directory in a hex editor. I will refer to victory conditions as VC. ![]() (note: every word from now on is from my own research). there are few things still left to discover, but i'm sure that if someone will find that out, it will be enough to add victory conditions. Now, first of all, this is still not complete.
